My Story
My story starts out like dozens of personal trainers. I was a college athlete. I majored in Exercise Science and after graduating, fell in love with training and helping people. And that was the road I was on for about 12 years.
Then life happened. I gained weight and had to have back surgery. My old tricks of working out for hours each week didn’t work anymore. I had to start over. In the process I became a health and well-being coach which helped me completely reframe how I approached my nutrition and fitness. I worked with other coaches and began to realize that sometimes you need to take a few steps back in order to move forward.
I no longer felt like I had to kill myself in the gym or just eat chicken and vegetables to lose weight. I focused on core and mobility to heal my back. And then I took those newly found skills and started applying them to clients. And then my whole philosophy shifted.
I became a better listener. I helped people who weren’t working out create a path to health and wellness that I never saw happen working in commercial fitness gyms for 15 years. Just as the pandemic rewrote history, I used that time to start a business based on helping people see a new path to their fitness goals that didn’t require blood, sweat and tears.
I believe that so many women out there struggle to be at their best. They internalize not reaching their full potential. They can’t lose the weight or make the right food choices. They feel anxious and stressed. They aren’t sleeping well. They are running on empty all the time.
I want to be that person that can help begin the new chapter. It may not look the same. It will not be hours of working out, or eating restricted meals each day. It won’t be meticulous meal prepping or exercises that make you cringe.
What it WILL be is a journey of self-discovery. It will be about saying yes to YOU. It will be about creating a plan that is designed for your life. It will include fitness, and nutrition, and strength training, and Pilates and health coaching at the amount calibrated for what your goals are. It’s easy to just say specialized. But it’s much more accurate to say well, hey we gotta talk first. Then we can figure it out. This is not me telling you what to do. This is a collaboration, a business plan of sorts for helping you get the most out of life.
